My thoughts and prayers are first and foremost with the families who have lost loved ones in yesterday’s tragic bus collision, and with those who were injured and remain in hospital. This is a heartbreaking tragedy for everyone affected.

I also want to express my sincere gratitude to our emergency responders who arrived at what has been described as a horrific scene. Our police, firefighters, paramedics and other emergency personnel serve our community in its most difficult moments, and we are deeply grateful for their professionalism and service.

An investigation is now underway to determine the circumstances and cause of this tragedy. Our thoughts remain with the victims, their families, and everyone impacted.
